As my son is learning how to recognize various letters, I have noticed that he is having difficulty remembering the differences between the letters "b" and "d." To help him remember I had him hold up both hands and make the letter "b" with his left hand and "d" with the right hand.
I then said the word "bed" while starting out with the "b" and ending with the "d." Furthermore, I explained that the "b" in the word "bed" is in the beginning, and "d" is at the end.
This helps him as a kinesthetic (hands-on) learner to start to remember the differences between the two letters.
I then created the following worksheet for us to practice saying and using our hands with each word.
